Huh? What lessons?

What a great day...hardly any lessons attended, and to make it even better,we end at the beautiful blessed time of 1.20pm. How cool is that? *grins* And if you think that's lucky, hear what some of my classmates get to enjoy today: One Literature lesson. That's it. I'm serious. History lecture early in the morning was cancelled, and then they don't have to go through the torturous Chinese lessons because they happen to take Higher Chinese in Secondary School,or IP. And then they take H1 Math,so by right they don't have to put up with the lecture and tutorial meant to kill all H2 Math-takers(hint hint...follow Tristan's lead and drop, guys! :p) So that leaves only one Literature lesson with 'The Brain' and off they go,end of school. Actually only one blessed Cheryl get to enjoy such wonderful schedule, and so she came padding in at 12pm,all smiles. You lucky gal!

Track competition still in the running, all the way guys! Those who made it into the finals, great job and keep it up! Those who unfortunately didn't make it,good try and stay strong! :)

Not bad!

Surprisingly, the mid-years didn't go as bad as expected...Previous thoughts of screwing them up due to the terrible lack of preparation time are now a thing of the past, thankfully. Well, maybe not so,haha. So far, only maths and chinese, with a D and C respectively, not as bad as the Ss and Us that I expected. *smiles* Now for the unforgiving Econs and Geog, both of which I'm praying hard for. Oh yeah, and GP too...*crosses her fingers*

They say things come to you when you least expect it,or rather, when you try very hard to search for something, you will never be able to find it no matter how hard you try and how much you suffered in the process, but only when you have learnt to give up on the seemingly futile search then you will find it. Sounds familiar eh?

Tomorrow is the official start of Nationals, all the best to everyone taking part! It's just a matter of weeks before it will all be over, and you guys can really enjoy a well-deserved break! But for now, concentrate, don't let all the training go to waste, and do your best! :)

The last Monday

How nostalgic...the last Monday training before the real big thing-Nationals,which start officially this Friday. All the best to everyone taking part-sprinters,runners,jumpers,throwers...you guys can do it! :)

A very happy birthday to dearest Miss Ng. Many thanks to your everlasting patience and coaching througout the entire training seasons for both cross country and track. Your endless faith placed in me(despite starting off really slow and CMI) in hoping I can improve is greatly appreciated. :)

Helped out in the Saucony packing of the goodie bags(not so 'goodie' after how we mercilessly crushed and shoved them into oh-too-small boxes and plastic bags, lol) for the Saucony Run on 8th July,in return for their generous(really?) sponsorships for our track suits and pants and shoes and jerseys and all the track paraphernalia. Back-breaking it was, despite having the trackers, the soccer guys and soccer girls helping out. The target was 3000 bags, but boy,it seemed waaay more than that. There were many people helping out in putting all the little items into the bags, but there was serious lack of people doing the shoving and back-breaking task of packing the finished bags into boxes to be loaded into the waiting truck. As a result,we ended up with two mountains of black bags stacked so high you can't see any standing person on the other side. Oh,and poor Kuan Ren's shoe was buried under a pile, which took us some effort to extricate it,lol. All in all, great job guys. Looking forward to another sweaty time packing stuff together! :)

*sighs* We have school tomorrow...which means lessons and more work! *sighs*

Thrills and spills...

Crazy things that a bunch of crazy teens would do on a boring Saturday night just right after the much-dreaded mid-year exams: Seek thrills and adrenaline rushes in the form of spooks in the old Changi Hospital-again. Well, for Kenji,Hansen and me that is. The rest were new-comers...welcome aboard guys!

We reached at nearly 8 plus, armed with four torchlights to be shared among 7 people(notice the odd number?lol),with one guy dressed in red...The pace was relatively faster this time,as Kenji was more familiar with the layout of the entire hospital grounds. We went exploring the upper stories of the buildings which we have never went before, the first being the one where we heard doors slamming when the building was completely void of doors(maybe hallucinations eh? But 8 people hallucinating at the same time...? Maybe it's something else yeah?). The next building was the one where Kenji and Louis saw "something humanoid",but much to our dismay,it was partially sealed up and guarded by surprisingly new security cameras that were not there the last time we came. Seems like they have some good reason to keep us out... :/

Onto the main building, where the most creepy thing happened. We were somewhere on the upper floors when we all heard music-piano playing to be exact. No kidding. It was loud and clear, and had this reverberating effect throughout the entire empty interior. Boy,you should have been there to witness the initial reactions! "Do you guys hear...?" "Is it me or what..." "It's coming from the chalet laaah." "Oh my god..." "No,it's coming from the lower level!" "Can we keep moving please?! Please!!" "It's the chalet!" "Down there, below us..." "Okay, okay don't panic, stay together..." "Really from the chalet lah, don't freak us out can?" "Listen to the era of the music! Why would chalets be playing music like that?" The last comment was really kinda freaky(from Kenji,of course, the fearless dude). He was right,it was an oldie,to be exact,a British oldie, and the creepy part came when there was the sound of this high-pitched woman singing. Game over man! The atmosphere was seriously tense at that moment, but thank goodness nobody ran off screaming or panicking, and we just kept our voices low(well, almost all of us,lol) when arguing about the issue. We eventually concluded it came from the chalet, but whatever it was,we just tried top get the hell(oops, sounds wrong, haha) out of there.

The next stop was the real mortuary. The one we supposedly went the other time wasn't the one, according to Kenji's extensive research, and it was this small inconspicuos building by the side of the main building, which can only hold "four corpses at one time". It was rather accurate, for we saw four platforms aligined side by side, with little drainage canals separating each platform, supposedly for the blood to drain away. *shudders* Many pictures were taken by Edwin the brave PhotoSoc member donning the bright red shirt. But the bravest feat was accomplished by(drumroll please...) none other than Kenji the Fearless, who climbed up this really uninviting ladder by the side of the building and took a picture of whatever lies up there(not keen to know...). Man,you are gutsy in a crazy way,I'm so glad you came back in one piece! :)

Great adventure overall, left many of us wanting for more! Next stop, some cemetery? Give me a call guys,I'm all game for it!

Ps.The music was really from the chalet...after we went to ask the people there. Seems like they were celebrating some bloke's birthday...but with THAT song? Hmmm...
